About the client

The client is a multinational enterprise in the global transportation and logistics sector, specializing in large-scale container shipping. With a global operational footprint, thousands of shipping routes, and an annual revenue of USD 30+ billion, the organization serves customers worldwide through an extensive network of maritime logistics services, container operations, and value-added supply chain solutions.

Given the company’s global scale, its technology ecosystem spans multiple regional units, each managing their own applications, infrastructure, and operations environments. Over time, this led to a complex operational landscape that required modernization, consolidation, and centralized governance.

Existing Challenge:

Over time, multiple shadow IT systems had emerged across different business units. These systems were:

  • Not centrally managed

  • Operating in isolated environments

  • Configured without uniform security policies

  • Creating fragmented infrastructure

  • Resulting in inconsistent operational controls

  • Limiting visibility across workloads

To streamline operations, the organization initiated a comprehensive cloud transformation program.

As part of this strategy, the Singapore business unit planned to:

  • Migrate and deploy its Agency workload on AWS

  • Enhance scalability

  • Improve reliability and performance

  • Introduce centralized governance

  • Ensure security and compliance alignment

The company also sought Managed Services to ensure continuous monitoring, optimization, cost control, and operational governance for the newly migrated workloads.

Our Approach and Solution:

The organization partnered with 1CloudHub to build a complete Managed Cloud Services framework, aligned to:

  • AWS best practices

  • AWS Well-Architected principles

  • ITIL-aligned operational processes

The solution implemented by 1CloudHub included the following components:

1. Centralized Cloud Operations

A unified operational framework was established across AWS environments using:

  • Amazon CloudWatch

  • AWS Config

  • AWS Trusted Advisor

This provided centralized management, consistent monitoring, and complete visibility across accounts and workloads.

2. Automated Incident & Change Management

1CloudHub integrated AWS services with the client’s ITSM platform to enable:

  • Automated incident ticket creation

  • Real-time escalation of issues

  • Structured change approvals

  • A well-defined Change Advisory Board (CAB) process

This ensured disciplined, ITIL-aligned operations with full traceability.

3. Security & Compliance Governance

To achieve audit readiness and consistent security posture, the following were implemented:

  • AWS Security Hub for consolidated security scoring

  • Amazon GuardDuty for intelligent threat detection

  • AWS Config Rules for compliance validation

These controls helped enforce governance and strengthen the organization’s cloud security posture.

4. Cost Optimization & Visibility

To maintain control over cloud spend, 1CloudHub introduced:

  • Standardized resource tagging

  • Centralized cost dashboards

  • Budget alerts

  • Optimization recommendations

This improved cost governance and resource utilization efficiency.

5. Infrastructure as Code (IaC)

To ensure consistency, repeatability, and high-quality deployments:

  • Terraform

  • AWS CloudFormation

were used to automate environment provisioning and configuration.

6. 24×7 Managed Support

1CloudHub delivered continuous operational support through:

  • Proactive monitoring

  • Event analysis and immediate response

  • Monthly service reviews

  • Continuous improvement initiatives

This ensured stability, predictability, and reliability across workloads.
